I have been drinking Ahmad English Tea No. 1 for years. I love it. I do not drink coffee. I just want to correct the product description. It says 100 foil wrapped tea bags. They are not foil wrapped, they are paper wrapped. This is to distinguish this box from the other option of 100 unwrapped teabags in a box. When one purchases Ahmad tea in a box of 20 teabags, they come foil wrapped. I always purchase the box of 100 bags in sealed envelopes because it feels like they are more elegant than just an unwrapped teabag!
This tea has great flavor, but it does not come foil wrapped as indicated. I comes in paper wrapped tea bags.
I love all Ahmad Teas, but this is my favorite go to for iced or hot. You cannot go wrong with English Tea No.1, and with the individual sealed wrapping of each bag, the flavor is preserved.
A well balanced tea. It is a rich and mellow full body tea it is not bitter. Very goodGive it a chance.
I LOVE the flavor of this tea! - ENGLISH TEA NO. 1-it is so delicious and comforting with a scone, cookie and a good book! My family members were great tea drinkers- tea healed everything! This tea is superior in flavor than the teas presently sold in store/restaurants. i just LOVE it and enjoy every cup!
The bergamot really shines through in this loose leaf Ahmad Tea. Their tea bags have a less pronounced bergamot flavor. A little goes a long way with this tea if you are making chai with it.I was introduced to Persian chai by a previous roommate. She added Persian saffron, cinnamon, ginger, and Persian saffron rock candy to this Ahmad Tea and it is just such a stellar combination. As a standalone tea, it tends to be less remarkable than any of the stronger Earl Grey blends. However, as the backdrop of a well-spiced Persian chai latte, it is just perfect.
I got a box of this in a gift basket a couple months ago and very much liked it, so when it ran out I looked for more of it online. This is a hardy, flavorful tea that pushes all the right buttons and can be enjoyed all day long. The bergamot flavor is much more discrete than in an Earl Grey, but that little hint of it really does wonders to round out the whole aroma. This is definitely an Assam-heavy blend, so if you're more into Darjeeling this might not be the tea for you, but for those who like a heartier, darker blend I would highly recommend giving this a try.
