Introduction: Milk Thistle seeds have strong liver function supporting properties. The seeds of the plant contain an isomeric mixture of flavonolignans collectively known as silymarin. Milk thistle seeds contain approximately 4–6 % silymarin. Milk thistle seeds can be beneficial for liver, gallbladder and kidneys.
Preparation and Dosage: Seeds need to be ground. A teaspoon of ground seeds pour a cup of hot boiled water. Keep covered for 15-20 minutes. Then drink a brew. The ground milk thistle seeds can also be added to dishes, eg. favorite yogurt, salad, muesli, cheese or sauce. It is recommended to consume one teaspoon of milk thistle daily.
