I have several yoga mats but all are very slippery. I use them for yoga but also for other exercise for standing as well as seated which is why I opted to get a thicker (8mm) and more secure mat. This mat feels great on your feet and is beautiful aesthestically to look at. My pics do not reflect the color well it is more of a rose/coral color. I love that it is PVC free which is also why I purchased it. I cannot give it 5 stars because the pattern is crooked which does not make me happy at all. The cut was not made in alignment with the pattern. I need to buy more mats soon for my students but not sure if I will take the risk. Otherwise it's a beautiful mat.

Overall, this is a great mat. Just that when you sweat it slides a bit, but you can always use a towel. Very easy to carry though a little heavy but very durable. I recommend. it has no smell.

I was looking for a happy medium between comfort and stability. I had already purchased a cushy 1" mat, but it proved to be too unstable for me, as an 80 year old. This one works fine, but the gray color, for some reason, shows all kinds of marks when I use it. I doesn't affect function, just aesthetics: looks dirty. Maybe another color would be better.

Stays flat and the straps are intuitive. I was replacing my 1st ever yoga mat which was foam that stayed rolled up on the ends and I had to use weights to keep it flat. The straps were also too big so I had to carry it anyway. So for me, this was a huge upgrade. It’s longer than I thought, which was a plus for me.

I had spent close to $100 on my last mat and it lasted a long time, but I read the reviews on this one and loved the option of both sides. This mat is light weight yet durable. I needed a nice thick yoga mat for my knees when doing poses on all fours and this mat is perfect! Ive been using it frequently every week for the last month or so and its held up really well.Cleanng it isnt the easiest because it is foam like material but its not too much of an issue. It holds onto dirt tho so if u have dirty floors its not that easy to brush all the dirt off the bottom before rolling it up (i fold mine so the bottom doesnt roll inward and touch the side i lay on).Pretty nice mat nonetheless and id definitely recommend it to anyone with bad knees!

This is the first yoga mat I bought to start my fitness journey: it has done its job so well, I have yet to find another one. It's thick and grippy, so no slipping and no hard floors on your joints. Easy to bring around for classes too.My only qualm with this mat is for it's durability. I pressed with my nail once on this mat, and the dent is still there. Not noticable from afar, but something to keep in mind if you know pets will be around your mat or if you're planning to keep yours open for a while.

This mat is wonderful. It’s the perfect thickness to cushion my knees. It isn’t too thin where I feel pain but it isn’t too thick where I don’t feel stable/grounded to the earth. The length is wonderful. The width doesn’t allow for poses that involve having your shin(s) along the width (for instance, when one of your legs is in a kickstand position for a particular pose). That’s alright though, as this is the average width for a mat. My dog stepped on the mat briefly and it already has a puncture in it from his nails (which aren’t long or sharp, but he is 120 lbs so the pressure could have something to do with it), which is why I gave 4 stars for durability. Then again, the mat wasn’t designed for dogs, so I can’t take too much off for that. Overall wonderful mat and great material.

I use this mat for my post workout stretching. It's definitely comfortable to lay on and takes of the pressure spots the floor might cause. However, as other have stated, the material is soft and not the strongest. I don't see this lasting if you used the mats for actual workouts or activities that required shoes. I take my shoes off when doing my stretching. I don't see the mat lasting very long if you wore shoes on it constantly.

Very thick and comfortable! The mat doesn’t slip around on the ground. But your hands will slowly slip a bit doing downward dog as there is not enough grip on the top side. Probably a better mat for workouts vs yoga, but yoga is still definitely doable if you don’t mind a little slippage. I personally got it so my back and knees don’t hurt when I do ground workouts and it’s definitely meeting those needs! Better for workouts vs yoga. The mat didn’t have any odor and seems like it will be easy to clean.

I really love how thick this yoga mat is. I don’t need extra cushioning under my knees or elbows any more, which is a huge upgrade from my previous mat. I also really like the soft texture, almost like a thin velvet, but it’s a little bit slippery for downward dog. I haven’t had issues with any other poses yet though.Update::Reducing my rating from 5 to 4 stars. I still love the thickness, but the slickness is becoming more of a problem. Also, finding it hard to clean, especially if there is any sweat involved. I like it as a yin yoga mat, or for stretching, but I’m not loving it for more challenging yoga or regular sweat inducing exercise.

Update: the seller sent a replacement mat that included the strap. It arrived within days of my alerting the seller We appreciate the responsive customer service, if not the Amazon Prime delivery truck that backed into our driveway at 6:45 this morning. Well I suppose that is all in the name of very quick customer service. As already noted, the mat is fine and I should think will hold up.Actually, the mat is fine. It was delivered without a strap and Beautyovo customer service has yet to reply to my email advising them of the problem. Its been about a week and compared to other companys' response time, this seems unresponsive at best. Will be happy to update this review if the company makes good.
