First, I was gratified to see that the color of this mat is more muted than I was anticipating. It's a pale, earthy turquoise. Lovely. The mat is *enormous,* which was my goal. Upon trying it, however, I realized that this size is just excessive for my 5'8" 138 pound frame. My partner, a 6'2", 160 pound man, was really stoked about it though. The material is non-slip without being "sticky," which is a plus in my book. I did notice that there was a slight ... bubble effect?... when I used it. Not sure how to describe it, but I included a picture (the one with my foot). This was my first time trying a mat made of this material so I'm not sure if that's standard or not, or if it's due to using it on a carpet instead of a hard floor.Inaccuracies in the product description:- Product description says 30 inches wide. It's 29 inches wide.- Product description says 0.2 inches thick, which is 5.08mm; packaging says 5mm. It's 4mm thick. Picture included. People looking for a very cushiony mat will want to look elsewhere.Bottom line: I was impressed with this mat even though it's not quite right for me. Pretty color, non-slip surface, enormous. If you're looking for an 80" x 29," 4mm thick mat, this is the mat for you.By the way, no one pays me or incentivizes me in any way to write these reviews; I just like to be helpful (and procrastinate on the things I should be doing).

Mat:No slipping, excellent grip and quality.Been using this for hot yoga and it’s been excellent. It’s heavy duty and very stable and stays in place throughout class even when things get sweaty. I don’t slip at all in poses like down Dog, which is something I’ve struggled with on other mats.Overall quality is impressive, especially for the price. I’ve used mats from bigger brands like Manduca and Lululemon and this one performs just as well.Highly recommend for hot yoga!

I have an old B mat and I chose it because of the stability of the mat. It's got great grip! At the time I ordered this mat. They weren't making B mats anymore but in reality I think I prefer this one because it's extra long like my B mat, but it's a little bit wider as well and it's got great grip. And compared to the B mat it's a great price as well. Would I buy this mat again? Yes!

My boyfriend uses it during Hot Yoga and so far really likes it.He’s only used it about six times so far.But he’s saying it’s really good for Hot Yoga and if you sweat a lot.
I have been researching best non slip yoga mats for over a year and finally landed on the Tatago Hot Yoga Mat - I could not be more pleased with my purchase! I have been using the mat everyday for three weeks - FINALLY a mat that allows me to work up a sweat and still not have my hands a feet sliding durning yoga postures. The mat is thick enough to provide “padding” but, not so think that it pulls up when pressure is applied. Not oversized but, large enough for all my yoga practices.Note: There was a “rubber” smell to it at first however, not enough that it stopped me from using it day one. I did not roll and store the mat for the first two weeks and the odor was completely gone. If you are sensitive to ordor’s you may want to leave the mat open for a while before using it.

I’ve always struggled with sweaty hand and feet during yoga. Especially hot yoga to the point it was almost impossible for me to enjoy the class. I tried the towel you place over a mat but those just end sliding off anyway. This mat amazing. You’re not going anywhere and I can finally enjoy my practice. I know it’s a bit pricey but 100% worth it.Also just FYI it’s a lot heavier than a regular mat. Assuming it’s the natural rubber that makes it heavy so don’t recommend if you’re traveling a lot.

Great length for me, 6’0 tall with long legs and arms and it feels comfortable without too much or too little cushion. Easy to use and appreciate the carrying strap. So far I haven’t slipped even when sweating. I plan to care for it well and hopefully it will last.

I have a thick full rubber mat that I was using before this. It was beginning to show some wear and I wanted to get a duplicate before it wears out, but the same manufacturer and model are no longer offered. That previous mat is heavy, which I don't mind because it is thick enough and pliable enough to give my knees and joints some cushion without giving so much as to make balance poses difficult. This mat also provides cushion without being spongy or squishy, so once again I have found a mat that make my yoga practice better. It seems that it is very durable and well made. The mat rolls up easily. The backside is rubber and the top side is some type of plastic vinyl synthetic, which seems that it will be easier for me to clean than my previous mat that was rubber on both sides. I think that there is some odor from it, but not too offensive and possibly will decrease over time. The rubber on the bottom keeps the mat from slipping on the floor, and somehow the smooth easy to clean top also manages to provide grip when needed. This mat seemed expensive to me, and I was afraid to buy without a personal recommendation, but I am glad that I took a risk and bought it.

I have been practicing yoga for about 10 years now, to include Ashtanga and hot-yoga at least 4-5 times per week. This is by far the best mat I've ever had. I'm 6'1...so when I needed to get a new mat recently, I decided to get one that was both extra-long and extra-wide from the previous mats I've been using, but it was also important that I get a mat that had a good grip, as I sweat quite easily. This mat fits all of these criteria, the natural rubber meant that it didn't smell too much when I got it, and the grip is fantastic. I love the extra length and width, its very firm, but not too thick, plus it is surprisingly not that heavy (I have a shorter, thicker mat that is much heavier than this one), and it rolls up quite easily. I'm so crazy about it that I think my fellow yogis from my classes are getting tired of hearing me brag about it:)
