It was way more intense than I expected: the Shiatsu method with the deep rolling on the soles of the feet was pretty tough, but I feel like it does what it’s supposed to do. I put all of my settings low because I quickly realized how strong even the medium settings would be for me. Powerful machinery.I actually wish it had a method to massage the top and sides of the foot as well, that’s where I’m experiencing most discomfort. The machine does squeeze the foot, but it’s mostly for the entire foot, with the rolling part focused on the soles of the feet. I also feel like you have to keep your knees together when you use this, which is an added but of strain that I didn’t expect; if you relax too much and let your knees spread, your feet will turn to the sides, and I think that’s what can make it painful.Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase so far. I took it out of the box as soon as it arrived and started using it, and was taken aback by how strong this machine is, almost thought it was gonna squeeze my feet off lol but I’ll keep using it and getting used to it . We’ll see how well my feet feel after some time.

This is the best foot massager ever. I melt when my feet get in there. I do not go full hilt - meaning all the buttons on full blast- but it is amazing. I actually bought this one for my father in law. He has diabetic. He tried and loved and we all fight over who is going to use 5 stars for sure!

I took points off because I wish the heat could go higher (it is defaulted as high, but I wish it could get warmer. I also wish the massage function could be lessened (it is defaulted to low. It’s the best thing I ever purchased for the peripheral neuropathy in my feet. I’ve been taking Gabapentin & Duloxetine for 2 years with minimal pain relief. The first time I used this (for 15 cycle), the pain relief in my feet was dramatic. I now use this sporadically during the day when the sharp pain, tingling, burning, etc starts. My feet feel 90% normal afterwards. Thank you Amazon Rufus for letting me know about this unit.
