The gray side that is pressed against the eyes is facing up.The ease of use and warmth are pluses; however, the comfort is a big minus. Overall, I would recommend the purchase, but with some caveats, potential buyers should beware of it.The mask works reasonably well. It certainly gets warm enough for me, and at the high setting, it was too warm for my eyes. The mask is tight, and the cheap elastic strap does not extend far enough. The wire comes out of the side that is pressed against the eyes.Pros:- Gets very warm, the high setting is quite hot- There is a removable cover- Easy to operate- USB feature makes it travel-worthy- Low power consumption. I ran it on a batter bank for a week and saw no noticeable reduction in the battery's charge- Easy, simple controls- It has a timer feature that works quite well! Turns off after the time set and is easy to manipulate- The cord is long and has a very good reachCons- The wire comes out of the pad on the side that is against your face. It sits in the crease of my left eye.- The mask is somewhat small- The mask is tight for me, even with the strap fully extended. I do not have a large head and normally wear a medium hat size.- The tightness presses the heat pad against the eyes. Works well
I've been using this heated eye mask for two weeks, 4 to 5 times a day to help meibomian gland dysfunction. I use it at the lowest temperature setting, sometimes as is and sometimes with a wet paper towel between the mask and my eyes for moist heat. It quickly warms and consistently maintains the warmth, the controls work properly and the read-out is bright and large enough to read, the cord is long enough to lie in bed while it's plugged into an outlet toward the bottom of a wall adjacent to my bed, the fabric is soft as is the elastic band that spans across the back of my head. One caveat, the elastic isn't long enough to accommodate larger sized heads. I'm a 95 lb. woman and where I've got the elastic sized for a comfortable fit, there's only about 1.5" left to make it longer to fit a larger person.

I’ve just read that 108 degrees for 5 to 10 minutes is required to clear clogged eye ducts, relieving dry eyes. I began using it on medium for 5 minutes and felt an immediate improvement! High was too hot and low was ineffective.I’ve just had cataract surgery. I had to wait until my dry eyes improved. I used preservative free Systane eye drops along with Systane salve and heat eye mask for 6 weeks. It helped well enough to proceed with surgery but I was told to continue drops at least another year.Then I read about the temperature required to make the heat mask effective for my condition. One treatment for 5 minutes improved the condition more than 6 weeks of drops/salve.Medium level was the sweet spot for me!
If you have irritated, tired, or dry eyes from computer work or reading, give this a try. The moist feature is perfect for soothing your eyes and the surrounding skin. I highly recommend this product.
I love this mask, have had dry eyes for several years, used other masks, but they never get hot enough, this one has a high setting that I love, and if it gets too hot about midway through, I just turn to medium setting. Very pleased with my purchase.
I have been using the product for several days now and so far it has helped my eyes when I wake up. I like the product!
The only thing I don't like about it is that cord comes out on the left side. I sleep on the right side of the bed so it has to come behind my head or across my face otherwise it works nicely.
The mask is great for dry eye disease. It stays very warm for as long as you set the timer. I actually purchased an extra one for travel It comes with an offer to extend the warranty for an extra year by contacting them and sending your order number. I have contacted them after each purchase and have never received a reply, which is very disappointing. The mask is great- the customer service is NOT!I actually just heard from them but they said they can’t find my 2 orders. I sent them photos of both orders. I don’t understand why they think I want a warranty if I don’t own their masks!
I used disposable Zeiss eye masks after an eye surgery and began using them continuously to treat my dry eye. I decided that I needed to get something more permanent so I ordered thus mask. Overall, the product works great and it seems very sturdy. I find the mask very comfortable as well. I tried several in the past, not heated masks, but to sleep without like getting in my eyes. I always found that the strap sometimes we’re so tight that it was very uncomfortable and bothersome. I don’t find that to be a problem with this mask. Now onto the two things about the mask that I think you should probably know. If you’re used to using the disposable masks, the low setting on this is much warmer than those. For some people, it may be too warm. The second thing is that the wire that heats the mass comes into the left side of the mask at the temple level so if you sleep on your left side, you might not like the feeling. Also, if you sleep on the right side of the bed and it comes in at the left, you don’t want to be sleeping on a wire/cord, so you’ll need to pull it up over your head and over the top of the pillow. It took me a few nights to adjust to this, but it works fine. But I wanted to let people know in case it’s something that you think might bother you.
I ordered the Kovnlo Heated Eye Mask in gray. Its controls are straight forward: Temps H M or L and timer with auto shut off has a good range of choices (10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50 or 60 minutes.) I have an average size female head and love that this heated mask isn't too big - covers between my eyebrows to just below eyes; both mask & strap are comfortable with adjustor on the side. I like the medium heat setting and that you can spritz it with water for moist heat as recommended by my eye doctor. The plush fabric is on the side away from the eyes but the woven cotton against the eyes is best anyway. Cord is sufficiently long and long. Have been using it every day for a week+ with no issues.
